Yesterday, for both of Andrew's two main naps, I was able to put him in the crib "drowsy, but awake" and he was able to drift off to sleep on his own. Then, when he was sitting in the swing while we were eating dinner, he was fussing a bit, and after 10 minutes or so, he just went to sleep. Looks like he's learning to go to sleep on his own! And here I thought that whole "drowsy but awake" thing was a load. :)
Then, this morning, I called his name as he was playing/fussing, and he turned toward me and looked at me! Now, it could have just been my voice, but he also could be recognizing his name. So exciting!
