Carving pumpkins

We opted out of dressing up this Halloween as our kids really don't understand or care, and any candy collected would inevitably be eaten by us.  But we did carve up a few jack-o-lanterns and go down to a friend's house in the city to help hand out candy.  Carving pumpkins is such a great texture activity, and this year was even more fun with Andrew than last year!  Miss Clara mostly just was cranky and wanted to go to bed.  Ah well - next year will be even more fun, I'm sure!
